Similarly, a propensity‐matched analysis using an HF registry in Japan in elderly patients (median age: 80) revealed that mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) use was associated with a significant reduction in the composite endpoint of 1‐year all‐cause mortality and HF hospitalizations, largely attributed to a significant reduction in HF hospitalizations.76 This evidence concerns the gene NR3C2 and hydrops fetalis.
