In a pilot study including 28 women at high-risk for breast cancer (non-BRCA1/2 mutation carriers with breast cancer risk of at least twice the average for age group by models of assessment), 6-months of treatment with Duavee significantly reduced mammographic density, proliferation (as assessed by staining for the Ki-67 proliferation marker) and additional breast cancer risk biomarkers while improving menopause-associated symptoms (72). This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and breast carcinoma.
