C-ZF mutations associated with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and/or ES that reduce DNA-binding affinity28,30, including R396Q, R398W, T354M, R361L, and C373R, showed reduced GATA2 mitotic retention by fluorescent microscopy (Fig. 2e, Supplementary Fig. 2c–j, Supplementary Movie 4), suggesting that DNA-binding is necessary for GATA2 mitotic chromatin retention. Here, GATA2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
