Although testing of the family members did not provide strong support for the segregation of RAD52 delins with breast cancer (Table C in S2 Text), there appeared to be several cases with blood cancers (leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma, 5/27, 18.5%) among the first- or second-degree relatives of the index. This evidence concerns the gene RAD52 and hematopoietic and lymphoid system neoplasm.
