Among other proteins involved in the inflammatory response and immune-activation we found upregulated IL6ST/Gp130 (the founding member of the cytokine receptor family, which is involved in the regulation of adipocyte development and function and has a key role at the intersection of inflammation, autoimmunity and cancer) (42, 43) and CD40, and the downregulated MHC class II proteins HLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1. The gene discussed is CD40; the disease is cancer.
