S100P is a part of the calciosome, which is the set of players regulating signaling mediated by calcium (Roderick and Cook, 2008), and more specifically, it has been shown to promote the progression of prostate cancer (Basu et al., 2008) and metastasis occurrence in colorectal cancer (Schmid et al., 2022).
