EDIL3 and neoplasm: Feng et al. (2014) demonstrated that EDIL3 promotes anoikis resistance and anchorage independent growth advantage through the activation of integrin signal pathways. Zhang et al. (2020) found that EDIL3 was involved in cell migration, invasion, and EMT by regulating TGF- β1 signaling. Gasca et al. (2020) reported that EDIL3 may promote EMT through interactions with integrin αV β3. Taken together, these results suggested that EDIL3 plays a crucial function in regulating tumor progression and metastasis via cell–matrix interactions.
