Previous studies have found that the DAPK1 gene is abnormally methylated in a variety of tumors, including brain metastases, squamous cell carcinoma, gliomas, high-grade cervical lesions, breast cancer, myelodysplastic syndrome, gastric cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) 33-40. Here, DAPK1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
