Of note, validation of TRPM8-Rap1A interaction in more than 1 cell line (Genova et al., 2017; Chinigo et al., 2022), including prostate, breast, and cervical cancer cells as well as endothelial cells, suggests a broader spectrum of action of TRPM8 as an inhibitor of Rap1, albeit with a different impact in terms of control of cell adhesion and migration according to the cell type.
