Increased protein levels of Beclin-1 are related to worse overall survival outcomes either in patients with ERα/PR-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer or in patients with breast cancer independent of their ERα/PR/HER2 status [Supplemental Fig. S1_Revised; see https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.23667135.v1, https://kmplot.com/analysis/ (38)], suggesting the association of Beclin-1 and most likely increased autophagy with breast cancer cell aggressiveness.
