TWEAK/Fn14 contributes to muscle wasting associated with cancer [S50], aging [S51], denervation [S52], starvation [S53], and myotonic dystrophy [S54], but whether TWEAK and/or Fn14 levels are elevated in PD muscles and neutralizing antibodies can confer protection against PD‐associated muscle wasting is unknown and worthy of investigation. This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF12 and myotonic dystrophy.
