Recently, in a study aimed at investigating the potential of curcumin to prevent the progress of prostate cancer by epigenetically activating NRF2, it was reported that curcumin demethylated NRF2, and it was correlated with the restoration of both the mRNA and protein levels of NRF2 and its target gene, NQO-1, a key enzyme that combats antioxidative stress. This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and prostate cancer.
