Further research found that tectorigenin might mitigate pulmonary fibrosis and airway inflammation through the TLR4/NF-κB and transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1)/Smad signaling pathways, which was consistent with the conclusion of another study that tectorigenin was suggested to play an anti-inflammatory role by antagonizing the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway [101].
