Research conducted by Rehman et al. [87] demonstrated that zingerone, a bioactive compound in ginger extract, reduced the level of inflammatory molecules, including TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β by delaying the stimulation of NF-κβ in streptozotocin/high-fat diet (STZ/HFD)-induced type 2 diabetic rats.
