CRP and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement: In a multivariate logistic regression, the age (OR = 1.034, 95% CI: 1.012–1.057, p = 0.003), CRP (OR = 1.051, 95% CI: 1.025–1.077, p = 0.000) and eosinophil count (OR = 0.026, 95% CI: 0.001–0.931, p = 0.046) were significantly associated with the development of pneumonia (Table 2).
