INS and Obesity: Shortly, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), insulin, homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), triglycerides (TG), and C reactive protein (CRP) were significantly higher in subjects with obesity compared to the NW ones (p < 0.05), with no differences between OB-MetS− and OB-MetS+ groups, with the exception of SBP, which was significantly higher in the latter than the former one (p < 0.05).
