When analyzing the intergroup differences, it was found that patients with generalized polyvascular atherosclerosis had significantly higher concentrations of TGFβ and IL7 and lower concentrations of IL6 and IL8, while differences in the content of GM-CSF (p = 0.071), TNFα (p = 0.059), and other cytokines did not reach levels of statistical significance (see Figure 3). The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is atherosclerosis.
