Predicted functional pathway analysis of the DE miRNAs in both 8-weeks and 16-weeks T. denticola-infected mice identified several pathways (DIANA-miRPath): Hippo signaling, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, Wnt (Wingless and Int-1) signaling pathway, and pathways related to various cancers, such as pancreatic cancer, small cell lung cancer, and prostate cancer. The gene discussed is WNK2; the disease is small cell lung carcinoma.
