Seven out of the analyzed genes (ANGPT1, CCL2, CCL5, CXCL8, IL1B, PDGFA, and VEGFC) showed higher expression in the AAA group compared to the control group, while the expression of the other seven genes (FGF2, PDGFB, TGFA, TGFB1, TNF, VEGFA, and VEGFB) was lower in this comparison (Figure 1B). The gene discussed is FGF2; the disease is triple-A syndrome.
