In this study, we show that vaccination against extracellular vimentin (eVim) with the CVx1 vaccine extends the lifespan of dogs with urothelial carcinoma of the bladder that are treated with COX-2 inhibition, as compared to historical controls treated with carboplatin and a COX-2 inhibitor [21]. The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
