In ovarian cancer patients with homologous recombination (HR) deficiency (HRD), defined by either a pathogenic breast cancer 1/2, early onset (BRCA1/2) mutation, and/or genomic instability, a combination of bevacizumab with the poly ADP ribose polymerase inhibitor (PARPi) olaparib has been approved as maintenance therapy after response to first-line platinum-based chemotherapy [5]. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and ovarian carcinoma.
