Several baseline factors have been associated with GA development in eyes with nAMD under anti-VEGF treatment, including the absence of subretinal fluid (SRF), the presence of intraretinal cysts, reticular pseudodrusen, type III CNV, nascent GA, increased central foveal thickness and drusen volume, and the collapse of pigment epithelium detachment, as well as the presence of atrophy in the fellow eye [10–14], while the role of the number and frequency of injections remains controversial [11, 13, 15, 17]. Here, VEGFA is linked to Atrophy.
