ALB and chronic kidney disease: The Study of Diabetic Nephropathy with Atrasentan (SONAR), showed that atrasentan, a selective ETA receptor antagonist, reduced urine albumin-creatinine ratio by 51.8% in patients with type 2 diabetes and CKD (eGFR of 25–75 mL/min per 1·73 m2 of body surface area) after a 6-week treatment.
