Significant predictors of esophageal varices using binary logistic regression included patients beyond 60 years of age, those with conventional ultrasound abdomen features like coarse liver echotexture, splenomegaly (>12 cm), thrombosed or dilated portal vein (>13 mm), the presence of ascites, and those with thrombocytopenia <150000 per microlitre, albumin <3 g/dL, and reversal of albumin globulin ratio had significant odds of having varices. Here, ALB is linked to Splenomegaly.
