IL15 and cancer: More impressively, even without lymphodepleting preconditioning, H9 CAR-IL15 T cells still produced a noticeable tumor-suppressing effect, while unmodified CAR-T cells had little effect, indicating that clinical application of IL-15-modified CAR-T cells may be feasible in the absence of a lymphodepleting regimen that generally incurs a remarkable toxic effect in cancer patients receiving CAR-T therapy (32).
