Interestingly, we found that Panc02-claudin 18.2 pancreatic tumors had a large number of intratumoral CD31+ angiogenic cells at early time points after H9 CAR-IL15 T-cell treatment, which is consistent with a recent study showing that treatment with IL-15-modified GD2-targeting CAR-T cells increased CD31+ angiogenic cells in orthotopic glioblastoma xenografts (33), suggesting that angiogenesis and possible normalization of vasculature may be related to antitumor activity, at least in some tumor models. The gene discussed is IL15; the disease is glioblastoma.
