In November 2022, the FDA approved a new indication for cemiplimab based on the results of the EMPOWER-LUNG 3 trial, a phase III clinical trial for cemiplimab, as the first-line treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC without EGFR, ALK, or ROS1 mutations, regardless of the levels of PD-L1 expression. Here, ROS1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
