The expression of MAPT minigenes with 4-repeat tau predominant FTD-causing mutations (IVS9-10G > T [20, 29], IVS10 + 3G > A, [30] and IVS10 + 11T > C [31, 32]) confirmed the preferential expression of exon 10 containing transcripts (Fig. 4b, c). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and frontotemporal dementia.
