Indeed, STAT1 is known to upregulate expression of MHC class I (Kaplan et al. 1998; Messina et al. 2013; Shankaran et al. 2001), and therefore, alleviation of STAT1 signaling might well explain decreased MHC class I antigen presentation in CIN+ cancers.
