Recently, Pandhi et al. [11] reported elevated CA-125 levels in patients with heart failure, Sekiguchi et al. [12] suggested that high CA-125 levels were an independent predictor of new-onset AF in healthy postmenopausal women, and Wang et al. [13] suggested that elevated preoperative CA-125 levels were associated with an increased risk of AF recurrence and independently predicted recurrence of AF after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA). Here, MUC16 is linked to heart failure.
