Gene fusions can be found in 8–9% of NSCLC, including 3–7% of cases with ALK fusions, 0.9–2.6% with ROS1 fusions, 1–2% with RET fusions and 0.1–0.17% with NTRK fusions7–11. The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
