Based on the hypothesis that autophagy-related gene RAB14 abnormal expression may mediate a crosstalk of the autophagy and EMT during bladder cancer metastasis, we focused on investigating effects of RAB14 by AKT pathway, as well as on EMT phenotype of bladder cancer by inducing autophagy via Akt/mTOR axis. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is urinary bladder cancer.
