Consistent with these findings, clinical trials in patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD) have shown that the monoclonal antibody to IL-4Rα, dupilumab, effectively reduces pruritus [27–29], and the anti-IL-13 antibodies lebrikizumab and tralokinumab lead to an improvement of pruritus in moderate to severe AD [30–32] (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene IL4R and Alzheimer disease.
