CD36 and inflammatory response: LuHui derivative (LHD), an FTO inhibitor, binds explicitly the pocket containing the regulatory sites of RNA methylation in LHD protein, leads to loss of FTO function, inhibits palmitate-induced cardiac inflammation, reduces CD36 expression by reducing the stability of CD36 mRNA, and inhibits inflammatory factor expressions, such as TNF-α and IL-6, thereby relieving hyperlipidemic cardiomyopathy (Yu et al., 2021).
