N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) antibody-associated encephalitis was first identified in 2007, followed by leucine-rich glioma inactivated protein 1 (LGI-1) antibody-associated encephalitis and anti γ-aminobutyric acid type B receptor (GABABR) antibody-associated encephalitis [1, 2].
