Of these, 3 patients had to discontinue ACTH treatment due to infection symptoms, 7 had their anti‐seizure medication (ASM) adjusted within 2 weeks before ACTH treatment, 5 had their ASM adjusted during or after ACTH treatment, and 5 experienced upper respiratory tract infections or diarrhea within a month before commencing ACTH treatment. This evidence concerns the gene POMC and infection.
