The prevalence of hyperuricemia was higher in patients with NAFLD (12.8% vs. 24.2%; P < 0.001), with abnormal ALT (17.0% vs. 34.5%; P < 0.001), and with hypertension (17.0% vs. 26.4%; P < 0.001) than control patients. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and hyperuricemia.
