ALB and diabetes mellitus: Comorbidities were found in 47.2% of the patients and included hypertension (28.0%) as the most prevalent, followed by ischemic heart disease (17.8%), diabetes mellitus (15.0%), neurological disease (5.6%), pneumonia, asthma, kidney disease (i.e., urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) ≥30 mg/g and/or an estimated glomerular filtration rate [GFR] <60 mL/min/1.73 m2), and thyroid disorders.
