When HCT116 (colorectal cancer), HeLa (cervical cancer), MIA PaCa-2 (pancreatic cancer), A549 (lung cancer), PANC-1 (pancreatic cancer), and HL-60 (leukemia) cells were treated with these compounds for 24 h, and the endogenous c-Myc levels were examined, we found that the c-Myc levels decreased in all cancer cells; however, the extent of this decrease varied among the cells (Fig. 3A). This evidence concerns the gene MYC and colorectal cancer.
