The data obtained for the during-COVID-19 phase showed higher values in the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL1β, IL6, and TNF) at day 0, along with an increase in the expression of antioxidative genes (SOD, catalase, and GPx) in comparison to the pre-COVID-19 values (refer to Tables 2, 3). The gene discussed is IL1B; the disease is COVID-19.
