Hennet et al. suggested that two more congenital connective tissue diseases are associated with defective carbohydrates sulfation caused by mutations in CHST6, and CHST14 genes: macular corneal dystrophy is caused by the CHST6 deficiency while some mutations of the CHST14 gene cause a new form of the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (N = 19 and N = 11, respectively) (62-64). This evidence concerns the gene CHST14 and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
