Hereof, a number of phase 1 and 2 clinical studies[34, 35, 36] have been enrolled in evaluating the use of Navitoclax, a targeted high‐affinity inhibitor of Bcl‐2, in the treatment of lymphoid malignancies based on previous studies indicating a broad activity against a panel of human tumor cell lines in vitro and durable tumor regression in vivo.[37, 38, 39] In preclinical studies, targeting antiapoptotic Bcl‐2 family proteins has likewise succeeded in using A‐1210477 in treating BRAF‐mutant melanoma. The gene discussed is BRAF; the disease is melanoma.
