The conventional chemotherapy of CRC contains 5-fluorouracil (5FU) alone or in combination with leucovorin (LV), irinotecan (FOLFIRI), or oxaliplatin (FOLFOX) which are accompanied by the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)- or vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-targeted monoclonal antibodies [5,6].
