In particular, abnormally low or absent expression of ABO(H)-blood group termini is commonly found in high-grade and invasive bladder cancer (Bergman and Javadpour 1978), while low-grade bladder cancer cells express high levels of fucosylated Lewis X antigen (Ezeabikwa et al. 2021; Cordoncardo et al. 1988).
