TXNIP and Sepsis: It has been reported that modulating TXNIP protein stability can suppress cell proliferation and mediate cell apoptosis by increasing the expression of inflammatory factors.22,23 The regulation of TXNIP/NLRP3 expression is considered to attenuate sepsis-induced lung injury and myocardial dysfunction.24–26 Therefore, modulating TXNIP protein stability might efficiently alleviate the inflammatory response to sepsis-induced liver injury and subsequently protect cells from injury.
