GSDMA and endophthalmitis: To understand the pathogenesis properties of Candida in endophthalmitis, and to validate potential diagnostic and prognostic markers, EVs associated with transport, cell adhesion, membrane fusion, and cytoskeletal organization of differentially expressed proteins (such as aquaporin-5, CD5 antigen-like protein, Gasdermin and vesicle-associated proteins) were studied in a mouse model of Candida albicans and Aspergillus flavus endophthalmitis (Gandhi et al., 2022a,b).
