PAX1 and cancer: Po-Hsuansu et al. [13] have shown that the dynamic balance between intraepithelial kinase and phosphatase is maintained by PAX1. PAX1 suppresses cancer by activating phosphatase via formation of complexes with SET1B and WDR5, inhibiting the activation of EFG and IL-6 signaling pathways (such as MAPK, SRC, and AKT pathways).
