OGN and cancer: There was ≥ 4-fold increase in the number of cells expressing Osteoglycin (OGN) (Fig. 4b), an ECM-associated proteoglycan associated with physiological processes like collagen fibrillogenesis, as well as pathological conditions, such as cancer and ectopic bone formation.25 The expression levels of OGN were also significantly increased (logFC 0.68, Supplementary Data 3).
