The recruitment of p300 upstream of the Ccl2, Ccl7, and Ccl12 genes in fibrotic lungs was examined by ChIP assays (Supplementary Fig. 6f-h), which revealed that p300 could bind to Ccl2 #6, Ccl7 #3, and Ccl12 #3 in the context of BLM-induced lung fibrosis, and this binding was significantly decreased in the lungs of ATII cell–specific p300 knockout mice (Fig. 2d and Supplementary Fig. 6i). This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and Bloom syndrome.
