The recruitment of p300 upstream of the Ccl2, Ccl7, and Ccl12 genes in fibrotic lungs was examined by ChIP assays (Supplementary Fig. 6f-h), which revealed that p300 could bind to Ccl2 #6, Ccl7 #3, and Ccl12 #3 in the context of BLM-induced lung fibrosis, and this binding was significantly decreased in the lungs of ATII cell–specific p300 knockout mice (Fig. 2d and Supplementary Fig. 6i). The gene discussed is CCL7; the disease is Bloom syndrome.
