CCAR2 and cancer: CCAR2 stabilizes the LEF1-β-catenin interaction by inhibiting SIRT1-mediated deacetylation of β-catenin by blocking their interaction, thereby enhancing LEF1-β-catenin complex formation on Wnt responsive enhancers and increasing the expression of Wnt/β-catenin target genes, including cancer-promoting TFs PROX1 and MACC114,95 (Fig. 2b).
