MIF and systemic lupus erythematosus: During lupus, it is expected that the expression of the receptor gene, followed by the expression of glucocorticoids at the cellular level, will decrease and cause the onset of inflammation.Whether this hypothesis can be associated with clinical and laboratory symptoms is discussed in this article.(12-14), overexpression of p-glycoprotein (p-GPro) (15,16), the elevation of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) (17), and overexpression of TLR9 (18) are all the other postulated mechanisms that could indirectly reduce the expression of the GRα in lupus.
